Records, 1919-1969, documenting the routine affairs of the Wisconsin branch of the American Legion and its activities in support of a universal military training program, the teaching of Americanism and flag education in the schools, a rehabilitation camp for veterans (Camp American Legion), Badger Boys State, campaigns against subversive activities, and the seeking of benefits for veterans. Included are proceedings of annual conventions, records of Executive Committee and other committee meetings, correspondence, reports on post activities, speeches and radio scripts, Wisconsin Veterans Council records, mimeographed documents and reports, and other records. The processed portion of this collection is summarized above, dates 1919-1959, and is in the register. Additional accessions date 1959-1969 and are described below.
